CMOC Brasil Performs Influenza Vaccination in Rural Communities
On April 5th, the Social Management team started the Influenza Vaccination Campaign in the rural communities in the surroundings of the company.
In line with the employee vaccination campaign, the action aims to extend the benefit to CMOC's neighbors, in order to contribute to the health and quality of life of the region's residents. In total, 350 doses will be applied in the coming days, covering the communities of Macaúba, Mata Preta, Coqueiros/Morro Agudo, Ouvidor dos Cláudios, Ouvidor dos Rodrigues/Santo Antônio Farm, Recanto da Coruja and Paraíso de Cima. Residents who live within the Self Rescue Zones of the CMOC Brasil´s dams will also benefit.
For the Social Management coordinator, Diana Mendes, the campaign is important because it gives access to vaccination to rural dwellers who eventually have difficulties to travel to the city. In addition, the initiative serves all age groups, expanding vaccination to audiences that are not covered by the public health network.
The campaign has been going on for several years and the receptivity and adhesion of the residents is quite high. Mr. Bem-Hur, a resident of the Ouvidor dos Cláudios Community, was vaccinated and says that the vaccination campaign in the community is very important and that CMOC is concerned with the health and well-being of its neighbors, making them feel special and cared for by the company.
